I learned a few things and had a few laughs. Thanks for talking sense into these guys. I'm sure there were more shitflinging tweets back and forth afterward, as there usually seem to be.Ĭool to see Steven Bonnell II here. Pebbles then tweeted something along the lines of "Destiny thinks animators make $250k a year". Destiny responded if he's got a million subs on Youtube and can't make $250k (i think) a year he needs to get into a different line of work or hire someone to give him advice on the business side. Psychicpebbles said he only makes some relatively low $X/year. Destiny said he doesn't want to hear about some rich kid who draws cartoons for a living talk about how much low class people love their jobs. Psychicpebbles tweeted about it saying they do. The context was something like Sargon and Destiny were arguing about whether construction workers love their job and/or take pride in it. The way I measure freedom in my country is to compare it to some of the literal worst examples on the planet! I hear that faux pas a lot.Ĭlick to shrink.I think I remember this fairly well. I'm from Germany and I'm glad that shit doesn't work that well here. To make these people look like the reasonable status quo, bringing every argument that runs contrary to their views on the extremist, unreasonable sidelines. The sole fact they call themselves "centrist" is the oldest tactic in the book. When you talked with Blunty I really wasn't sure whether he just acts like he doesn't understand this or was really oblivious to the fact. That silver league troll video made my day.Įdit: Also thanks for adressing the problem of the "centrists" and "sceptics" being mouthpieces of the far right iwithout even realizing it. Keep up the good work!Īlso do more stuff with LilyPichu please. Props for your patience man, sometimes I have to make pauses watching these things because I can't handle the bullshit. I guess for the sake of discussion it's better to assume they do though. I mean to be fair, most of these people aren't living in a fact-based reality. Ohhh welcome! Can't even remember when I first started watching your stuff, must be at least two years now. That's one of the things that angered me so much about this clip - Ī lot of what Spencer says here is completely true, but the interviewer can only respond with circular logic, "oh this is ridiculous! this is obviously a ridiculous notion!" He doesn't understand any of Spencer's arguments and doesn't have the ability to counter anything he says, all it comes off is as a circlejerk piece that doesn't serve to move anyone in the middle over to any other side. My measure of success is not "slightly better than Saudi Arabia." The proper response to this is: I don't look to Saudi Arabia for moral guidance. It's important to call these out when you see them, though! One of my biggest pet peeves is when lefties or liberals or whatever hear someone say something like that and all they go is "oh dear that's so dumb lol!!!!" whenever someone says "You think we're OPPRESSED? Try going to SAUDI ARABIA LOL!!!"

The way I measure freedom in my country is to compare it to some of the literal worst examples on the planet! I hear that faux pas a lot. I religiously search for myself on social media (to better understand how people perceive my presence/arguments) and coming across threads like this, where there are no fanboys of mine, is a huge treat.Ĭlick to shrink.Ahh yes. I also had a debate with Dick Masterson, and another fun thing to do is to see "reasonable" fans (not the HARDCORE fanboys) take a step back and sort of second guess their idol when they see them confronted with someone who can actually challenge their ideas. My goal is that someone who's kind of leaning in one direction or the other will hear arguments that will make them stop and think "Oh, well, I guess that's something I hadn't really thought before." I get a ton of testimonials in my e-mail from people who say things like: "Hey! I used to listen to a lot of xyz youtubers because I hated SJWs, but after listening to your views I really do understand way more about where you're coming from and now it's really hard to listen to these guys strawmen people all day, thanks!"

Instead, I aim for people who are in the middle or slightly leaning to one side. I also understand that neither party's most dedicated fanbase will change. Going into an argument, I acknowledge that it is incredibly unlikely that neither I nor my opponent will changes positions (though I will, if convinced, and it has happened before). So I have a little meme I call the "40/40/20" rule.
